Subscribe to the listserv and join a community of hundreds of higher education emergency management practitioners. You can pose questions and receive input from seasoned professionals, and from others in the same boat who are glad to collaborate with you on solutions. 3) International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM)
Membership in this association of professionals involved in the emergency management field enables access to a wide range of resources and opportunities. The annual fall conference gathers thousands of people for educational sessions and an enormous vendor exhibition. As a higher education representative you would automatically be welcomed to attend the two-day pre-conference UCC Symposium hosted by the University & College Caucus. The monthly IAEM Bulletin briefs you on developing topics. Among other things you can also have a voice in the Emergency Management profession and the policies that impact our communities.
